Youths form the core of every nation as vital human capital is essential to the continuous development of its society and economy.
Recognising youth development as an important key in helping the country
achieve a developed nation status by 2020 as well as being a high-income
economy, several key targets were set for the Youth and Sports Ministry under
the Ministerial Key Results Area (MKRA) initiative of the Government
Transformation Programme (GTP).
Youth and Sports Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, strongly
believes that youth are the catalyst of Malaysia's transformation towards a
high-income developed nation by 2020.

KD: Youths need to know they have a say in shaping their society, that their contributions are needed and that they can make a difference. But while youth usually have all the energy and passion, many do not know where to start. So, the govt should guide them on how they can turn their passion into action.
